![]() ![]() If you’re interested in playing with the What’s Your Tag? community, we play Horde on Zul’jin-US in a guild called PANIC. ![]() If there’s interest, I’ll definitely do a quick write up for it.Īlso just a quick reminder that World of Warcraft is on sale for $4.99 until December 2nd, in which you get the game and all of its expansion content, aside from Warlords of Draenor. Hopefully this helps out, and if you’re interested in hearing about any other addons for garrisons and the like, drop me a comment. You can see in the screencap below that my map now shows each rare spawn, as well as color-coded pathing routes and a complete list of each rare spawn in the area to the right. When you combine to two addons, you’ll not only know the location and patrol paths of each rare spawn, but you’ll receive audio queues when they spawn in to the world if they’re nearby. Below is what you’ll see if a rare spawn is found using _NPCScan. The Overlay companion add-on shows their paths on your mini-map as well. If they’re alive, you’ll receive an audio queue and a mini pop-up at the bottom of your screen that you can click to auto-target the rare spawn and place a marker above their head for easier tracking. What this does is show the patrol path of each rare spawn and display a pop-up when they’re nearby. The other addon you’ll want to pick up is _NPCScan and its companion addon _NPCScan.Overlay. Since Warlords of Draenor is still pretty new, you may see some generic icons with black squares and question marks, but you’ll still be able to mouse over them to see what’s the what. Level 100 group rares drop item level 620 gear, so they’re a great alternative to gearing up for heroics than running regular dungeons until your eyes bleed. Regular white skulls represent normal rare spawns, while the blue ones are in the level 100 zones and may require a group to take down. The first addon you’ll want to download is called HandyNotes, as well as its companion addon HandyNotes_DraenorTreasures.Īs you can see below, HandyNotes will display the location of each rare spawn and treasure chest on your in-game map, and allow you to mouse over it to display their respective loot tables. You’ll need to restart WoW completely after you’ve installed them, but that’s really all there is to it. For those unfamiliar with how to install addons, all you need to do is download them at the links provided and extract them in to the World of Warcraft -> Interface -> Addons folder. Sure, you can buy treasure maps in Ashran, but why waste the gold? I’ve been using a combination of addons that not only display the location of each rare spawn and treasure chest in Draenor, but tell you exactly what they’ll drop and alert you with a pop-up if they’re available for the kill. Everybody loves loot, and if you’re interested in tracking these rare beasts down, I’m about to make your life a hell of a lot easier. While adventuring in Draenor, you probably noticed the overwhelming number of rare spawns and treasure coffers scattered about, offering up some great loot at all levels between 90-100. With Warlords of Draenor being available for a few weeks now, chances are you’re already level 100, or at least on your way there.
